About Us

Steve and Amanda Stevens spent 15 years teaching Natural Horsemanship through clinics, lessons and training horses in North Texas. They focused on building the relationship between the human and the horse. In the Spring of 2019, Steve and Amanda took a leap of faith and moved to the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York.

The Stevens are very grateful to have the opportunity to commit their work to sharing the healing gift of the horse at EquiCenter in Honeoye Falls, NY.

Steve is the Director of Equine Programming and Amanda is the Natural Horsemanship & Mustang Strong coordinator.

They both oversee the EquiCenter mustang programs, Mission Mustang that serves veterans and Mustang Strong that serves anyone currently undergoing cancer treatment or those in the recovery phase of survivorship. The programs build the human-horse connection on the ground through natural horsemanship skills and provides participants a sense of purpose, wellness, and empowerment.

Amanda and Steve have dedicated their lives to continuously learning, teaching and sharing the gift of the horse with others.

They have two children, son Ryder is ten years old and daughter Violet is eight.

When Violet was five months old, Amanda was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of triple negative breast cancer.

"I am proud to say that Amanda beat breast cancer and has committed herself to helping other cancer patients.

Amanda used the horse to help give her strength and courage through her journey during her treatments and after, living life as a cancer survivor.

It is our passion to share with others the abilities horses have to help heal."
